The rich volcanic soil from the village of Magdalena, Jalisco,
produces flavor-filled, robust agave plants that through old recipes and
a little ancient magic are transformed in to this delicious Tequila
called EL CAUDILLO.
El Caudillo translastes from spanish at “the chief”. This was the
alias used by two famous Mexican revolutionists: Pancho Villa (El
Caudillo of the North), and Emiliano Zapata (El Caudillo of the South).
Both these famous generals shaped what Mexico is today. Caudillo Zapata
has to be thanked for liberating many slaves and returning the land to
the poor, fighting under the motto “I would rather die on my feet than
live on my knees”. This Tequila was born in honor of these two heroes.
This ultra premium tequila is double distilled, then carefully aged
in white oak barrels previously used for maturing bourbon– a unique
process were the natural minerals and flavors combine, creating a
complex golden color and wonderful oak flavor that goes down light and
tastes delicious. Hail to the chief and Viva la Revolución!
