The beer you hold in your hands is the result of years of practice and refinement.  I have brewed it every year since I started home brewing, and it was one of the first beers I ever brewed.  In fact before the mere thought of 8 Wired was conceived.  I always knew that one day I would brew this beer commercially.  Every year the Sultan has been different, but it is always Belgian inspired, of course with a large dose of sultanas.  This bottle contains the fifth version of the Sultan.  I finally decided to base it on a Belgian style Quadrupel.  The sultanas are more present than before, and it is brewed with a hefty dose of pilsner malt, Belgian specialty malts, dark candy sugar and funky yeast strain. Experience and enjoy it now, or mature it for years to come.  I can’t personally guarantee it, but I bet that it will get better with time.  Soren Eriksen Brewer.
