Seghesio makes Zin, and they make it well. Cortina is the name for the gravelly loam soils that make Dry Creek one of the best places to grow Zin. And this homage to the soil is just that, with a vein of minerals threading from the nose to palate, complementing the wine's raspberry, currant and pomegranate fruit. There's also a kicky white pepper note that the vineyard is known for, all dusted by fine, integrated tannins and appealing acidity.
